During the first day of our 4 days Fez desert tour to Marrakech, After breakfast, we set out early in the morning to discover the secrets of the Sahara desert’s hidden mystics. We will travel via Ifran and Midlet to the south, to Merzouga. We will be able to see hints of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. We shall see Barbarian monkeys up close in Azrou. The lakes in Ifrane (Switzerland of Morocco), tall cedar trees, and white peaks of the Atlas Mountains comprise the natural landscape of the Atlas compounds. Our lunch destination is Midelt, which we will reach via the Tizi n’ Talghamt Pass. After that, we’ll travel further along the Ziz Valley to enjoy the expansive vistas that surround us. The largest oasis in North Africa is contained within this valley. Erfoud and Rissani, two hospitable Berber (Amazigh) villages, will be our final destinations before reaching Merzouga. Here you will find welcoming staff who will be happy to serve you hot mint tea, night and dinner at the hotel.

After a delicious breakfast, we’ll set off on an exploratory tour of the region, stopping at the ‘Village of the Blacks’ to hear their music. These people, who are primarily from the south of Morocco, have a subcultural lifestyle. Yasmina Lake, home to migratory bird populations that include flamingos, is not far away. We’ll go there and enjoy the surrounding scenery. Back to Merzouga hotel where our desert guide will greet us when we reach the edge of the Erg Chebbi dune line. He will take us over the sand dunes on top of his camel buddies so we can see the breathtaking sunset. Will be spending the night at a party around a fire camp in the deep desert, beneath the countless stars.

Our camel man will get you up early in the morning so you don’t miss another amazing opportunity to see the dawn over the desert. After that, we’ll ride camels back to our riad in Merzouga for breakfast. After that, we’ll travel through the towns of Rissani and Erloud to get to Tinghir. We will stroll around the authentic Souk in Rissani, which is a blend of dates, spices, and veggies. We will experience a wash of sounds and fragrances in this souk that will tantalise every sense we have while taking in the classic scene of veiled ladies and hooded men haggling over prices much as they did centuries ago. We will explore the tallest and narrowest gorges in Morocco while eating lunch in Tinghir or Todra gorges.

Following lunch in the middle of the gorges, we will go to Dades Valley to witness the magnificent “monkey toes” rock formations and sand castles. Jimmy Hendrix created “Castle Made of Sand ” in the 1960s. We will make a stop at Kelaa M’gouna in the Roses Valley to buy rosewater and take in the area’s wonderful atmosphere. After that, we’ll get to Sakura Oasis before arriving to Ouarzazate where you will have dinner and spend the night in a wonderful hotel.

We’re going to Marrakesh early in the morning under a clear blue sky, following breakfast. The largest Kasbah in Morocco, Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, will be our first stop. During the 19th century, one of the last Berber chieftains was Et Hami El Glaoui, the builder of this Kasbah. So it is recognised as the World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Around it, families still reside in fortified Kasbahs. This picturesque location served as the backdrop for numerous motion pictures, including “Lawrence of Arabia,” “Babel,” “The Mummy,” and Jesus of Nazareth. After that, we’ll go across a dried-up river to explore the magnificent Kasbah, which is known for its genuine atmosphere. After that, we’ll travel over the High Atlas Mountains to breathe in the cool air.  We will eat lunch at a local restaurant in Tizi N’tichka, which is atop the Atlas Mountains. Our final destination is Marrakesh, where we’ll get a glimpse of the well-known Jamaa’ El Fna plaza or drop off at your accommodation in the late afternoon.
